Welcome

Hi!  My name is Mrs. Mathews and this is my third year teaching Spanish with GRPS.  I previously taught Spanish at Ottawa Hills and here at UPrep.  I enjoy the class, and try to make it challenging yet enjoyable for the students as well.

The class meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for one hour.

Monday

  • Learn new verbs
  • Practice translation and conjugation of new vocabulary words

Wednesday

  • Practice putting sentences together with new vocabulary words
  • Learn how to use "con"

Friday

  • Practice making complete sentences incorporating new and old vocabulary

  • Translate sentences (half-sheet handout)
  • p. 115 #9 (write in Spanish, translate to English)
  • p. 116 #10 (in Spanish)

Wednesday

  • Put sentence parts together to make logical sentence
  • Notes: "con"
  • Workbook p. 40 # 6
  • Workbook p. 40 #7

Friday

  •  Write sentences about what you do or like to do with specific people
  • p. 117 #15
  • Notes: "que"
  • p. 117 #16
