Dress for Success

University Prep Academy believes that every child should be prepared for and comfortable interacting within the larger community – whether it is with business men and women, non-profit workers or parent volunteers.    We believe in “dressing for success” as a way to demonstrate confidence and introduce typical business/office standards.

Essentially, our school “uniform” is what the larger community calls “business casual” – khakis or dress pants paired with polo or dress shirt and loafers or dress shoes.

Specifically:
School colors:
Khaki, navy blue and white

Bottoms - purchased at any store
Khaki or Navy color
Dress slacks, casual dress pants, skirts or dresses (no jeans in any color please)

Polo Shirts - purchased through the school
White or Navy color with schoool name (cannot be tied or tightened, but worn appropriately)

Sweatshirts or Sweaters - purchased through the school
White or Navy color with schoool name (no hoodies or coats worn during school hours)

Shoes - purchased at any store:
Business casual style shoes preferred --e.g. loafers, dress shoes

However, any style shoe can be worn except open-toe shoes/sandals or flip-flops

Accessories:
We ask that accessories be kept to a minimum. Belts and jewelry should be appropriate for the attire and not flashy.
