University Prep Academy was developed from a successful model based
in Detroit, MI called University Preparatory Academy-Detroit (UPA-Detroit) which has been graduating over 90% of their
students from high school and sending over 90% of those graduates onto college
or other post-secondary opportunities.
We used this model as a foundation for our school, but then altered it to specifically fit our community. The result is a unique school model that incorporates the best of both the public and private sectors for the benefit of our students.
